Job Description

Miami Dade College (MDC) is seeking knowledgeable and dedicated professionals to join our team as Adjunct Faculty in Health Sciences and Related Studies at our Medical Campus. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and high-quality instruction in Health Sciences courses.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with program curricula and industry standards.
  • Utilize innovative teaching methods and technology to enhance student learning.
  • Assess student performance through evaluations, projects, and clinical competencies.
  • Provide academic guidance and mentorship to students, fostering their professional growth.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in healthcare education.
  • Ensure compliance with institutional and accreditation requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Health Science, Nursing, or an Allied Health discipline (e.g., Dental Hygiene, Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Physician Assistant, Dietetics, Medical Technology, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Radiography, Respiratory Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology);OR
  • Associate’s degree in a healthcare-related field (e.g., Dental Hygiene, Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Dietetics, Emergency Medical Services, Medical Assisting, Medical Technology, Occupational Therapy, Physician Assistant, Physical Therapy, Radiography, Respiratory Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology).
  • Valid licensure or certification in one of the above-referenced Allied Health or Healthcare fields.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of full-time work and/or instructional experience in the field.
  • Possess excellent communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with students with a wide range of skills
  • Ability to function well in a technological environment and willing to use technological tools in instruction
  • Ability to work well with students, faculty, staff and the community
  • Ability to work in a multi-ethnic/multi-cultural environment
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evening and weekend assignments
