Job Description
Hardware Lab Administrators are responsible for supporting lab hardware and enforcing lab standards and processes. You will be working with cutting edge technology and pre-market consumer electronics. This program is an agile environment that requires frequent troubleshooting and thinking outside the box. Duties involve setting up servers, maintaining, troubleshooting, and tracking test devices and assisting engineers with new setups.

Scope:

  • Follows established procedures on routine work
  • Requires detailed instructions

Your Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot new issues that may occur
  • Provide support of lab hardware
  • Support the Quality Assurance team timely and effectively
  • Work with the team to improve/change processes
  • Work alongside cross functional teams
  • Set up, maintain and upgrade lab test infrastructure (Servers,
    network etc.)
  • Document tasks and processes.
  • Work with test engineers to help support new test cases
  • Perform duties as requested by primary test lead/admin, test
    engineers
  • Assist to triage bugs to find resolutions
  • Work from verbal instructions and email
  • Ingest and keep track assets
  • Other duties as required. This list is not meant to be a

Required Qualifications/Skills:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 0 to 2
    years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination
    of education and experience
  • Basic troubleshooting experience
  • Ability to follow instructions
  • 6 Months of professional experience
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Self managed and motivated
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment
  • Experience working with operating systems on a system level

Preferred Qualifications:

  • AA/BS Degree in a technical background
  • Inventory and customer service experience
  • Basic knowledge of a scripting language (Python/Bash)

Physical Demand & Work Environment:

  • Must have the ability to perform office-related tasks which may
    include prolonged sitting or standing
  • Must have the ability to move from place to place within an office
    environment
  • Must be able to use a computer
  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively
  • Some positions may require occasional repetitive motion or movements
    of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
  • Comfortable with working in a room full of devices with 2-3 other
    people in a lab environment
