Job Description

Duties:

  • Involves showing our people of the Coastal Georgia and South Carolina our beautiful window coverings and helping them select the best solutions for their homes. This sales experience starts with the right person!

  • Serves customers by selling products and meeting customer needs
  • Services existing accounts, obtains orders, and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales outlets and other trade factors.
  • Recommends changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and     competitive developments.
  • Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies
  • Submit quotes to manufacturers which are not in the system when needed.
    • Communicate with the client expectations for returning estimates to them.
  • Maintain product sample books in an organized and professional appearance. Replace all samples that are taken out of the book daily.
    • If in a time crunch, be sure to have a designated area for loose samples in your vehicle that would keep the samples
    • Report any damages immediately to the Sales Director
    • Check out samples to the client and take appropriate information: Note in le and run card authorization. Follow up on retrieving checked out samples.
  • Maintain a stock of product brochures for customers during consultation.
    • Communicate with marketing when you need more brochures
  • Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses
  • Record time spent on various duties via TSheets for reporting purposes
  • Work the showroom in Saturday rotation
  • Keep measuring guidelines and product speci cations organized in the vehicle or saved on your iPad for reference while in the eld.
  • Take precise and accurate measurements in accordance with measurement guidelines.
    • Always triple check all measurements and mounting position (inside/outside mount)
    • Take pictures of all windows measured and any other applicable areas or items in relation to the installation of the product
  • Check Google Calendar schedule each night and each morning to verify your appointments scheduled and to prepare for meeting the customer.
  • Always respond within 24 hours if a customer reaches out via email/telephone and you are not immediately available.
  • Coordinate with o ce and installers as necessary on items regarding the client
  • Communicate expectations with clients regarding, order, processing, payment, etc.
  • Document all client notes in his/her/their le regarding wants/needs or any other pertinent information for if the client were to call the o ce
  • Coordinate with the client on a good date to check in on the estimate. Follow up on estimates for receival and questions.
  • Enter all notes into the customers Click Up in regard to the appointment such as any details on their timeline of the project, speci cations, comments in regard to getting other quotes, requests, pictures of the window installation area. Set a due date for the next day to follow up if a customer received a quote.
  • Follow up with all customers within 24 hours to make sure the generated quote was received and inquire if there are any questions, concerns, or changes.
    • Set a due date in their Click Up to check on follow up within 3 business days.
    • If a customer does not want to move forward or does not respond within a week, close out their Click Up as Lost .
  • Take payments via the Clover Go App if credit card.
  • Create quotes in home and discuss quotes with customers to make sure all window treatments requested were covered.
    • Make sure the quote is 100% before sending. Installation fee is added and any discounts applicable.
    • Inquire with customers if they are public service or military regarding discounts that can be applied.
  • Attend nal measures to nalize product orders and process signatures and payment
  • If a customer reaches out directly to proceed with the order, take the payment and convert the order to a sale in Solatech.
    • If using Clover Go for a credit/debit card payment be sure to note the customers last name in the transaction. Also email the receipt to the customer or text per preference.
    • If paying with a check or cash- be sure to note the check # in Solatech when converting to a sale. Checks and cash must go to the Sales Director within 24 hours. The Sales Director mailbox is located in the Sales Director o ce for all cash/check payments.
    • Note that customers placed orders in Click Up and the form of payment used when placing their deposit of 60% or paying in full. Also tag Sales Director and O ce Assistant to make sure they are aware.
  • One o ce day will be allotted each week for you to assist with inside sales and any emails or quotes that need to be answered.

     Create quotes via Solatech window treatment quoting program.

Measuring: 

Communication:

o   Set a due date in their Click Up to send a nal follow up the following week.

Processing Orders:

o   Verify customers email address prior to sending.

o   Alert o ce of sale to process payment to Quickbooks and order product

o   Update the sales order to re ect the payment made.

Training:

30 Days:

  • Please learn the o ce procedures and work inside sales in the showroom to develop and acquire knowledge of the products, procedures, and work ow.
  • This includes answering the phone, monitoring the o ce email, greeting and speaking with customers who visit the showroom, learning about the o ce programs used to include Solatech, Click Up, Clover Go, and Google Calendar.
  • Familiarize yourself with the sales process and steps to give the best customer service.
  • You must also visit the manufacturer's websites to familiarize yourself with the products and familiarize yourself with the products in the showroom on display to be able to discuss these products with customers.
  • Locate all product sample books in the showroom and read through the material and familiarize yourself with the fabrics and design of each window treatment.

60 days

  • Shadow a current sales consultant. At this time, you will be trained on measuring etiquette and proper measuring guidelines. You will also learn how to enter quotes into Solatech and begin learning the steps to completing a sale.
    • Attend networking events to create valuable connections
    • Pass Out marketing materials to various businesses and local areas with related trades
    • Work trade shows when necessary
    • Complete a minimum of 8 documented hours of product training each month. 2 hours of training should be completed each allotted weekly o ce day. Training can be found on the dealer logins of the manufacturers or emails from the manufacturers.
    • One o ce day will be allotted each week for you to assist with inside sales and any emails or quotes that need to be answered. Training may be done at this time.
    • Ability to attend various trainings from the manufacturers may be available in the future

 Marketing: 

  • Attend networking events to create valuable connections
  • Pass out marketing materials to various businesses and local areas with related trades
  • Work trade shows when necessary

Ongoing Training:

  • Complete a minimum of 8 documented hours of product training each month. 2 hours of training should be completed each allotted weekly office day. Training can be found on the dealer logins of the manufacturers or emails from the manufacturers. 
  • One office day will be allotted each week for you to assist with inside sale sand any emails or quotes that need to be answered. Training may be done at this time.
  • Ability to attend various trainings from the manufacturers may be available in the future.
