ComForCare Home Care Portland is looking for individuals that want to make a difference in the lives of others. We have 5 open positions RIGHT NOW! Other shifts are available as well, no reason you can't get full time work with us!
Position 1: This lady lives in Beaverton and needs a caregiver that is ok with cigarette smoking and hanging out. This is companion care only, may involve outdoor walks and indoor card or board games. Thick skin may be needed due to verbal outbursts and experience with mental illness is beneficial, but not necessary. She is a kick in the pants and while there isn't a lot to do here (bring a book, watch TV with her), she will keep you on your toes with her stories!
The shift is Monday - Friday from 9 am - 3 pm starting May 27th.
Position 2: This gentleman lives in Hillsboro and is wheelchair bound. Staff will be taught to do much of his care by our registered nurse. He has a great perspective on life, is passionate about horticulture and loves to share his knowledge with others.
This shift is Friday 9 am - 3 pm, Saturday/Sunday 9 am - 1 pm and 5 pm - 8 pm (you do get paid travel time on Sat/Sun for the split shift)
Position 3: Located in Beaverton, this gentleman is close to Washington Square Mall within walking distance of 4 Tri-Met bus stops. This gentleman requires someone with a good ear, when he asks for something, he expects you to respond. While living alone, he does need assistance with all household tasks, medications and some personal care needs. You will be running all errands in his vehicle, to include shopping, picking up food from restaurants and taking him to appointments.
This is not your typical household, there are definite pluses and minuses to this position, however for the right person, it will be a great job! The owner of our company has been his primary caregiver and she says "he's quirky but fun!"
Applicants for this position MUST have a valid drivers license AND be able to push a wheelchair.
Position 4: This Monday through Friday shift runs from 11 am - 5 pm in the Beaverton home of our client and her aging mother. This caregiver will be involved in assisting with both personal care and household tasks.
This client is accessible by Tri Met lines 76 & 78 so a vehicle is not necessary.
Position 5: This wonderful older lady lives independently in Tigard and needs assistance on Monday and Thursday mornings from 7 am - 10 am. Staff are there to standby while she showers and dresses, then do light housekeeping, laundry, light grocery shopping and prep some light meals for dinner.
This position is perfect for someone that can't do heavy lifting or wants an introduction to caregiving OR wants a few hours to supplement a regular schedule somewhere else. This client has the definite potential for additional hours as her needs increase as she is committed to living where she is.
Email firstname.lastname@example.org with your name and phone number and we can get the hiring process started.
This ComForCare Home Care franchise is independently owned and operated.
