SURVEY PARTY CHIEF
Corona, CA
K&A Engineering, Inc. is seeking a skilled survey party chief with a minimum of 3 years of experience, highly proficient in the following aspects of surveying, including but not limited to:
GPS Boundary and Control Network Surveys (including Aerial Control): Proficient in performing both Static and RTK GPS surveys. RTK surveys for topographic and some construction staking surveys, utilizing the following GPS equipment: Trimble 5800 and Spectra Precision Epoch 50 GPS receivers and using the Spectra Precision Ranger Data Collectors with TDS software version 5.2.1.
Topographic Surveys: Must be proficient in using descriptor codes and linework while performing topographic surveys. Field work will require the ability to draw details of various items including storm drain catch basins, culverts, drop inlets, sewer manholes, buildings or areas not conducive to precisely locating features with the instrument. Proficient with the following conventional equipment will be required: Spectra Focus 35 robotic total stations using the Spectra Precision Ranger Data Collectors with TDS software version 5.2.1.
Construction Surveys: Proficiency in all aspects of construction surveys including but not limited to the following: rough grade staking including slope stakes, both fixed locations and the ability to stake catch slopes, contour staking, drainage basins, etc. Utility staking including sewer, storm drain, water, electrical, telephone, etc. Streets including curb and gutter, pavement staking, with the ability to perform both subgrade and rock grade certifications. House layouts and large concrete tilt-up building staking, (said tilt-ups using both a chain and EDM measurements, and right angle checks).
Compensation will be based upon applicant's qualifications/experience in the aforementioned requirements.
