Integrated Process Engineers & Constructors, Inc. (IPEC) specializes in engineering, design and manufacturing of modular process systems for the pharmaceutical, biotech, beverage and food industries. We are seeking a motivated and skilled Shop Utility/Pipe Assembler. This is an hourly position that pays $22.00-$30.00 per hour depending on education and experience. Full-time and part-time positions available.
Responsibilities:
- Lay out, assemble, and install pipe systems (w/o welding).
- Secures pipes to structure with brackets, clamps, and hangers, using hand tools and power tools.
- Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies.
- Verifies specifications by measuring complete components.
- Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications, notifying supervisors to obtain additional resources.
- Pressure testing, cleaning, and passivation of piping subassemblies.
- Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
- Assist in shipping and receiving duties, back-up to receiving clerks; require computer skills, attention to detail, use of forklift.
- Tagging of systems; requires ability to read process flow schematics.
- System cleanup, disassembly and packaging of completed systems for shipment.
- Pick-up and delivery of equipment require valid driver’s license.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or equivalent, plus.
- Proven experience as assembler.
- Technical knowledge and ability to reach blueprints and drawings.
- Ability in using tools.
- Good understanding of quality control principles.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical condition.
