Job Description
To provide all areas of the hospital with sterilization of instrumentation ensuring a quality product for patient care by executing established procedures for decontamination, assembly, packaging, and sterilization.
Able to print surgery schedule and surgeon preference list independently Ability to follow directions from team lead or manager Ability to respond quickly to emergency situations with full motor function Ability to handle high stress, think critically, and follow through in emergency situations Ability to speak clearly, write legibly, and pronounce medical supply and equipment names Strength and skill to handle sterilization equipment and supplies Ability to perform heavy lifting (approximately 30-40 lbs) Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time Little to no sitting while in this job Will have frequent contact with blood and bodily fluids Ethylene oxide exposure Central Service Technician Must be able to get along with others, be a team player, accept constructive criticism from your supervisor, and be able to follow work-related rules Required

Hepatitis testing upon hire
Required Experience
1 year related experience required in a hospital setting (Certified Sterile Processing Tech, Surgical Tech, or Scope Tech, etc.)
Education and/or Certification/Licensure
High School Diploma or equivalent
Accountabilities Decontamination of Instruments and Specialty Trays Performance of Steam Sterilization Performance of inventory/storage/distribution functions Performance of Plasma and Ethylene Oxide Sterilization/Aeration: Validation of Equipment Tested Performance of Assembly/Packing/Wrapping Maintenance of Effective Functions in the Department
