Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Transcriber to support the project focused on English Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) quality control. This role requires strong linguistic capabilities, technical adaptability, and a commitment to delivering accurate and consistent audio transcriptions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Rapidly acquire proficiency in project-specific annotation standards and transcription tools and adapt effectively to ongoing rule updates.
- Perform high-quality transcription and annotation of diverse English audio materials in accordance with established guidelines.
- Review, proofread, and refine annotated texts to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
- Maintain efficient and proactive communication with the project team to ensure alignment on requirements and updates.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Education & Skills: Strong academic or practical foundation in Linguistics, Audio Engineering, Broadcasting/Hosting, Film/Television Production, Computer Science, or related Science and Engineering disciplines.
- Practical experience and relevant competencies in audio annotation, transcription, translation, or sound editing are preferred.
- Advanced English proficiency (CEFR Level C1 or higher) in listening, speaking, reading, and writing
- Ability to understand, follow, and apply complex guidelines. High attention to detail and accuracy
- Passion for technology, storytelling, and/or gaming
- Fast learner, comfortable using digital tools and platforms
- Candidates must demonstrate a willingness to work on-site (Bacoor, Cavite).
