The successful candidate will steer and control projects through the project life-cycle to ensure outcomes. He/she will assist in analyzing project requests and contribute to proposing, initiating and managing projects that help achieve the long-term strategic goals as well as shorter term tactical goals. This requires close interaction with different parts of the business. The Program/Project Manager is a member of the IT Portfolio & Program Management (PPM) team
A strong relationship with all parts of the business should be developed to foster a productive relationship between IT and our internal business partners to better understand, define and support initiatives to help the client become a industry Powerhouse.
The Program/Project Manager will also be allocated to different projects with an IT component. At any given time, they are likely to be involved in several projects simultaneously and ensures effective control of projects though the project life-cycle. Responsibility includes drawing up and maintaining a detailed Project Plan, a communications plan, a change management plan and other standard Project Management activities. The Project Manager leads the project, is the face to the business and is responsible for project success.
In addition, he/she will also be involved in:
• Project Processes; helping define and describe project process adapted to the client
• Business Analysis; helping define business requirements for any IT development
• Portfolio Management; helping administrate, track and evaluate projects
• Mentoring & Guidance: helping users in project management good practice
• Business Relationship Management; gaining insight into longer term business requirements
“Must have” Hard Skills & Experience:
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Program Management / Project Management / consulting / related areas with leading roles
• University degree, minimum Bachelor’s, preferred Master’s
• Project Management experience in companies with an international footprint
• Good technical understanding and exposure to different IT platforms e.g. ERP, HRM, CRM, SharePoint, IT infrastructure, SaaS, IaaS etc.
• Good communications skills in English including ability to speak to non-IT people
“Nice to have” Hard Skills & Experience:
• Program / Project Management / BRM certification
• Any type of IT certification e.g. Microsoft, Oracle NetSuite
• Good technical competence in any of our major platforms; NetSuite, MS Dynamics, WorkDay
• Any experience in medical device / healthcare / pharma sector
• Any foreign language (we have Japanese owners and were previously part of a German company)
