The Business Analyst works with client during the implementation process to ensure the data received by the client maps correctly to internal systems and is able to perform some project management tasks when needed. The Business Analyst works with business stakeholders, clients and IT developers during the design, construction and test phases of a project. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Create and design specifications as requested by management units. Liaise with consultants and managers to document business processes effectively. Conducts requirement gathering meetings using any number of techniques (I.E.: JAD, questionnaires, 1 on 1 interviews, brainstorming, etc) Ensure that various appropriate infrastructure elements, including documents, periodicals, manuals, policy documents, etc. are kept up to date and are available. Create and develop functional requirements of systems to improve quality, performances, external interfaces, and constraints. Is able to work with external clients and explain data file formats and explain/understand how their data can and could be mapped into internal systems. Is able to work with technical teams to assist in data mapping to feed into an ETL process Carryout analysis of requirements by checking for derived requirements that are logical to customers requests. Outline requirement specifications with the use of standard templates for both use cases and detailed software. Manage requirements and ensure they are stored in internal systems. Create and manage requirements traceability information and record requirements status in the course of the project. Monitor changes to baseline requirements with the use of effective application of change control processes and tools. Make contributions in the development of Test Plans and Test Scripts, and also perform test execution as required. Job Description ADAMH Business Systems Analyst The SHARES Business Systems Analyst will be responsible for analyzing, implementing, troubleshooting, and providing the necessary support to internal and external customers related to member enrollments, claims, and the SHARES system. This position will work closely with multiple departments (ex. Membership/Enrollment, Finance, Clinical, IT) for SHARES related functions. Responsibilities include: providing customer service and acting as liaison between provider and ADAMH, assessing customer and/or business process requirements and analyzing structure and flow of work, leading project improvement process, assisting and facilitating training, developing technical assistance materials and manuals as needed, and assisting fiscal department in supportive functions. Required education and experience: Bachelor's Degree in business or technical discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience; one to three years' experience with business analysis, minimum of three years of relevant experience in all areas of both enrollments and claims, strong problem solving/analysis ability, prior experience in systems administration in behavior health care management is a plus, ability to work independently and as a team player, effective communication skills both verbally and in writing, strong time management and organizational skills.
