Job Description Job Title: Regional PublisherDepartment: SalesReports To: Independent Contractor*Date: March 30, 2018 SUMMARY: The primary responsibility of a Regional Publisher is to own, manage and sell a new mover mailer within their home market and surrounding markets; selling up to four individual mailers in the first 12 months. The ideal candidate has advertising sales and/or management experience in their home market with positive relationships with local business owners and retailers. He or she will be responsible for sales, collecting ad content and artwork, finalizing proofs and billing local customers. HomeTown Welcome Program (HTWP) will be responsible for product and sales training, ongoing support during mailer sales, providing access to a graphic artist for ad building and for designing and producing the mailer. HTWP will also be responsible for postage and distribution of each mailer. The Regional Publisher s costs of doing business will include a monthly fee based on the mover count in their local market and any costs associated with selling and retaining his or her local customers. Additional costs may include utilizing Quickbooks or another program that will assist with billing. HTWP can assist with setting up the billing process. The Regional Publisher will retain all revenue over and above Hometown Welcomes production cost (see attached pricing sheet ) for ads sold in the mailer ranging from a 4-page to a 12-page mailer product. HTWP will provide the license agreements to the Regional Publisher s home market and three subsequent markets adjacent to his/her home market at no cost (a $3,980 value). HTWP will hold all four markets so the Regional Publisher has the exclusive right to sell the mailer in those pre-determined distribution areas as long as each market is sold out within the 90-day targeted goal for each area. *The Regional Publisher acts as an independent contractor, but HTWP will provide ongoing sales, production & mailing support to ensure mutual success. HTWP expects that all Regional Publishers will represent the company with professionalism, excellent customer service, honesty and integrity.
