Cares for patients in all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up as patients move along the continuum of care. Responsible for the planning and coordination of care, patient assessment, patient education, triage, and various other nursing interventions. Functions within the scope and standards of nursing practice as outlined in the Nurse Practice Act and Administrative Rules in state of practice and licensure. Tasking will be based on an individual s experience and departmental labor needs.GENERAL DUTIES (not all inclusive): Maintains a safe workplace program Adheres to ASC Electrical Safety Program and ensures that safety is the highest priority in the workplace. Accomplishes maintenance and construction work under the supervision of the Electrical Foreman. Performs installation of branch circuits, power distribution wiring, electrical equipment, fixtures, and conduit according to the National Electric Code (NEC). Troubleshoots and repairs existing electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures. Performs scheduled Preventative Maintenance of electrical systems and equipment. Responds to afterhours emergency calls for repairs and service on a rotational duty schedule. Advises the Electrician Foreman on job progress and material/labor requirements. Experience in repair and maintenance of airfield lighting and/or heat tracing of outdoor insulated piping is preferred. The ability to read design drawings and wiring diagrams is required. Experience working up to 480 volts is required; Experience working with voltages up to 4160 volts is desired. Experience in construction and maintenance of commercial and/or industrial facilities is preferred. Experience with or certification on NFPA 70E: Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace is desired. Must be willing and able to lift and move items, parts, assemblies and equipment up to the safety regulation maximum. Willingness and ability to deploy to Antarctica for extended periods is required. Must be willing and able to perform physical activities including heavy lifting, climbing in and out of equipment, crawling, and working outdoors. Must successfully complete the physical, dental and psychological examinations as required by the NSF for deploying to Antarctica.
