Job Description We are currently seeking a junior to mid-level Site Safety Professional with relevant construction safety experience in New York City to join our team and oversee fa ade repair work at NYCHA housing developments throughout the five boroughs.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Conduct and document health and safety inspections to verify that all safety rules and regulations are enforced by contractor. Attend meetings and monitor contractor s upcoming scheduled work activities to verify that JHAs have been developed and approved for all new activities. Review contractor safety submittals for complianceMonitor contractor compliance in accordance with NYCHA safety requirements and approved HASP. Notify the Project Manager of any emergencies or unsafe work practices and, if necessary, make a stop work recommendation. Maintain a daily log of work activities, PPE levels, and findings. Follow up with health and safety deficiencies and close out all findingsPrepare and submit daily, monthly and other reports as required by agencyInterface cohesively with all other Construction Management and safety personnel. Requirements:Bachelor s Degree in Environmental/Construction Health & Safety preferred. 3+ years of relevant experience in site safety managementOSHA 30 hour Construction Safety and Health training 4-hour Supported Scaffold User & 16-hour Suspended Scaffold UserNYC DOB 40 hour SSM training preferredPrior NYCHA buildings experience a plusAbility to work from heights, climb ladders and walk on uneven terrainComputer and tablet skills including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPointExcellent verbal and written communication skillsValid driver s license and clean MVRMust pass interview with agencyAbility to walk on uneven surfaces, climb ladders/scaffolds, and stand for prolonged periods HAKS has been dedicated to supporting the needs of its client partners for more than 25 years.
