Asthe Director of Oncology, you will administer, analyze and appraise the caregiven to patients within the Department. You will advise hospital managementregarding the status of patient care, budgetary projections, qualityimprovement processes. You will anticipate and estimate future needs of theDepartment to improve quality of patient care. You will collaborate andcoordinate the efforts of the staff of the Department to accomplish the missionof Las Palmas Medical Center.

  • You will promote a multidisciplinary coordination of services,such as, nursing medical, respiratory care, laboratory, pharmaceutical andpublic relations.
  • You will develop, monitor, appraise and analyze budgetary goalsand outcomes within the Medical Department.
  • You will administer and appraise Quality Improvement within theservices provided. You will controlprocesses related to Human Resources; inclusive of hiring, evaluating,terminating, counseling, coaching and development of the staff.
  • You will direct and approvethe practice of professional nursing and support positions within the servicesprovided to maintain quality patient care through implementation and evaluationof clinical practice standards.
  • You will develop, interpret, inspect and review policies andprocedures within the services provides.
  • You will develop, institute, review and implement DisasterPreparedness policies and procedures for the organization.
  • You will collaborate, develops and participates in marketing ofthe Department, including educational program development, external advertisingand working in alliance with local and regional programs.
  • You will be responsible for twenty four-hour coverage and problemresolution to the services provided.

Qualifications

Experience
  • Minimumof five years clinical experience, three years of management experience: Preferred.
  • Demonstrates supervisory or management experience: Preferred
Education
  • MinimumCollege: Associate Degree, Diploma in Nursing, or BSN: Required
  • MSNpreferred.
License / Certifications
  • CurrentRN licensure in Texas
  • BCLS
  • PALS
