The staff person is responsible for performing EEG, EP, NCV Screen, MSLT, and ENG Tests under the supervision of an END Technologist 11 or above. The staff person is responsible for taking health histories, applying electrodes and other monitoring devices, and obtaining quality recordings for physician interpretation. Responsibilities: * Explains purpose of the test, what will happen during the procedure and what the results will show. * Takes health history and completes the departmental worksheet. * Assesses proper function and accuracy of the equipment. * Measures and applies electrodes and other monitoring devices to the patient. * Customizes recording procedure to meet the medical needs of the patient. * Recognizes and explains normal/abnormal wave patterns. * Records montages according to test protocol. * Completes preparation and clean-up of test environment. * Accurately completes paperwork for physician interpretation. * Correctly places charges in HBOC on the date of service. * Responds to critical values and medical emergencies during testing. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications : * Associate's Degree Required. * Board Registered EEG Technologist by ABRET must be obtained with 2 years of moving into position. * BLS * Able to utilize computer to work in various applications. Deborah's busy Interventional Cardiology Department performed over 3,900 diagnostic, interventional and endovascular procedures.
